Thin Film Users Group (TFUG)
The Thin Film Users Group (TFUG) focuses on state-of-art thin-films deposition and applications for semiconductor and related fields, such as nanotechnology, renewable energy, imaging devices, design for manufacturing, and advanced memory research. It is composed of engineers and scientists from device manufactures, semiconductor equipment venders and universities. The TFUG’s main activity is a bi-monthly half-day open seminar from researchers and industry technologists with technical presentations on topics of current interests.
Admission to the bi-monthly technical meetings and membership in TFUG is FREE and open to anyone involved or interested in thin film processes, including those in device or equipment manufacturing, academia and consulting. There is no preregistration required to attend the meeting and these meeting provide an excellent opportunity to interact and discuss problems and issues with others in the field.
The meetings are normally held the third Wednesday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please refer to the TFUG Announcements page for details and location. Refreshments are provided at each meeting. Every year, the TFUG hosts the December meeting in collaboration with CMP and PE user groups.
We welcome your participation at these bi-monthly meetings. If you would like to present the results of your work, suggest a session topic, join the planning committee or chair a monthly meeting feel free to contact someone on the TFUG Committee.
